There is Life in Past Rotary.
If you have recently relocated to Guernsey you might feel that you are no longer able to fulfill the attendance requirements that Rotary demands, however you might also like to have a ready made set of introductions to like minded people.
We are not 'just a social club'. We do adhere to Rotary ethics in a much less formal way, and there are no attendance criteria to be met.
There is a National Association of Past Rotarian's Clubs, founded in 1960. In 1990 we hosted the Association's annual A.G.M. and Conference and in the spring of the Millennium Year 2000 we were privileged to organise their 40th anniversary event.
Aided by The Rotary Club of Guernsey we were formed on 1969 with 13 members rising to 38 members in this our 32nd anniversary year.
We regularly assist the Rotary Club of Guernsey and Inner Wheel in their fund raising activities and are welcome at their social events. We also have a smaller charity programme of our own.
We convene for lunch on the last Thursday of each month except December. In addition during September to April on the third Thursday of the month for dinner, with guest speakers, our ladies and friends.
We organise several other social events, such as an annual golf match versus Rotary, Lawn and Ten Pin Bowling evenings, an annual visit to Herm for the Presidential hand- over ceremony, organised visits to foreign parts and various private visits to places of interest around the island.
You are most welcome to visit us for lunch.
